The Thornhill Means Memorial is reminiscent of the British period in India. It was formed to organize a meeting of the Legislative Assembly. This building made of sandstone also has Gothic style carvings and designs.
Sayaji Rao Gaikwad Library is known as the main library of Banaras Hindu University. It is also called the 'Central Library'. It was established in 1917. Its present building was built in 1941 on the lines of the British Museum.
